The aim of the project is to counter the use of elderspeak, i.e. specific and discriminatory language used when talking to older people. Through social communication and human rights workshops as well as a public awareness campaign, we reduce the causes and scale of the problem. We raise awareness of its negative effects on the social functioning of people aged 60+, improve the communication competences of people aged 60+ and teach them how to respond assertively to elderspeak.
