Do you plan to apply in the call for quick response (intervention) projects? Or has your organisation already applied in the call but was not awarded funding? Find out what to keep in mind when applying for intervention grants under the Active Citizens Fund – Regional Programme.
Key information about the the call for quick response (intervention) projects is to be found here, and below are the steps you should consider when writing your application.
Further deadlines for submitting proposals are: 21 March, 21 April and 22 May 2023. We encourage you to get acquainted with the materials we have prepared and put our tips into practice before applying.
Step 1: Check if your project idea fits into the Programme’s definition of intervention.
Only projects which meet the Programme’s definition of an intervention may be financed. If your application does not meet this criterion, it will receive zero points and will not be subject to further content-related assessment (see: Attachment 06. Project Outline Content-related Evaluation Sheet).
When thinking about the planned intervention, pay particular attention to whether:
- the project will respond to a specific, time-bound crisis situation or a sudden change in the situation of the selected audience/beneficiaries (and can you name and describe it),
- the planned project activities can produce concrete results and improvements in the situation of the group of beneficiaries within the project duration (3 to 8 months).
You can find out how we understand interventionism in:
- Guidelines for Applicants and Project Promoters of Active Citizens – Regional Fund. Ongoing Call for Intervention Projects. Part 2;
- The recording of the information webinar “The call for quick response (intervention) projects (2nd round)” (from 00:41:55 to 01:10:19).
Step 2. Check in which area of support of the Programme your action fits.
Only projects that are in line with the overall aim of the Programme and the goals of the support area selected by the Applicant may receive funding in the call. If your application does not meet this criterion, it will receive zero points and will not be subject to further content-related assessment (see: Attachment 06. Project Outline Content-related Evaluation Sheet).
Descriptions of the areas (including: goals of the areas and examples of interventions in a given area) can be found in the Guidelines for Applicants and Project Promoters of Active Citizens – Regional Fund. Ongoing Call for Intervention Projects. Part 2..
To learn more about the Programme’s areas, watch the webinar recordings:
- 1. thematic area (Human rights protection),
- 2. thematic area (Promoting social diversity and preventing exclusion),
- 3. thematic area (Building democratic culture and civic engagement at local level).
Make sure that your proposal fits into your organisation’s chosen area. Pay particular attention to the differences between area 1 and area 2, which are often confused.
Step 3. Take part in the webinar and Q&A session “Call for intervention projects – good practice and common mistakes”.
Join a webinar and Q&A session on good practice and common mistakes in the call for quick response (intervention) projects on 31 March (Friday) at 11:00 am.
During the webinar (11:00-11:45) we will talk about:
examples of intervention projects that received funding in the 1st round of the call,
the most common mistakes made by Applicants and how to avoid them.
