We have awarded further 6 grants within the ongoing call for intervention projects. Find out the details about the evaluation of proposals submitted by October 20th, 2021.
We have finalized the evaluation of project proposals submitted from September 21th till October 20th, 2021 in the call for intervention projects. All submitted proposals (that is 46 applications) met eligibility criteria and were sent for content-related evaluation.
According to the decision of the Executive Committee, based on the recommendations of the Expert Committee, we have awarded grants for the implementation of 6 projects:
- 2 grants in Area 1: Human rights protection (for the total amount of 29 985.48 EUR);
- 2 grants in Area 2: Promoting social diversity and preventing exclusion (for the amount of 23 138.09 EUR);
- 2 grants in Area 3: Building democratic culture and civic engagement at local level (for the amount of 29 992.41 EUR).
The total amount of funding awarded for project activities in the call for intervention projects is 172 892.71 EUR.
The planned amount for grants in Area 2 in the 1st round of the call for intervention projects was 31 422 euro. The Executive Committee decided to increase the amount of funds (reallocate between rounds) by EUR 36 616. The increased amount will still allow for awarding the most highly rated proposal or proposals (depending on the amount of grants and the quality of proposals) received in this Area by 20 November, 2021. Due to the exhaustion of funds earmarked for grants in Area 2 (Promoting social diversity and preventing exclusion), we are closing the call for applications for intervention projects in this Area (this applies to the current call for intervention projects, which runs until 30 December 2021). Proposals for Area 2. submitted before the publication of the above mentioned decision (until 3 December 2021, 9.00 a.m.) will undergo administrative and eligibility check and content-related evaluation. Proposals in Area 2. submitted after 3 December 2021, after 9.00 a.m. will not be forwarded for evaluation.
Organisations that have submitted or would like to submit proposals in Area 2. are encouraged to participate in the 2nd call for thematic projects, which will be announced in January, 2022. And the 2nd round of the call for intervention projects will start in autumn 2022.
***
In accordance with the call for proposals, funding was awarded to projects aligning with the Programme’s definition of quick response (intervention) which obtained at least 75% of the score available.
Because of the limited amount earmarked for the call, not all of the proposals scoring above this threshold are able to receive funding.
The Applicants can find the scores and evaluation sheets in the Electronic Grant Application and Management System (EGAMS).
Congratulations to all the organisations whose projects were approved for funding! In the coming days you will receive to your email (indicated in the EGAMS) all the information about further steps required to sign the grant contract.
We also encourage all Applicants, who were not successful this time, to analyse their evaluation sheets and take into account the experts’ recommendations when preparing the next proposal. The second thematic call for proposals (where proposals do not have to be of quick response/intervention character) will be announced at the beginning of 2022.
The first round of the call for intervention projects will continue until December 30th, 2021 (more on the call for intervention projects).
