In this project we are responding to the problem of discrimination in cultural institutions, in particular the problem concerning the lack of equality standards in the organisation of artistic activities for young people. The direct beneficiaries of the project are instructors and young people – participants of artistic activities in the Silesian Provinces, whose needs we diagnosed before preparing the project. We are helping organise and run creative, inclusive activities for young people that are accessible to different groups and open to diversity. As part of the project, we are running a training cycle consisting of 2 in-person sessions for 10 instructors working with young people complemented by the activities with young persons. During the workshops we develop the competences of the participants in the area of anti-discrimination, inclusive education and social activation of young people through artistic means. We prepare them to run activities for young people in a more open and inclusive way and to work with people with difficult access to culture. Supported by the instructors, groups of young people implement artistic events that address social issues most important to them. They are attended by around 500 spectators. We also implement a social campaign in the form of a podcast. In it, we convey knowledge about the needs of discriminated groups and the potential of art to initiate social change.
