Join us in a webinar on child safeguarding policy in an NGO

On 14 September (Wednesday) at 11.00-12.00 a.m. we are hosting a webinar dedicated to the development and implementation of child safeguarding policies in NGOs. Feel free to join us.

For whom?

The webinar is addressed to the representatives of non-governmental organisations (especially project promoters of the Active Citizens – Regional Programme) implementing projects targeting children and/or families and cooperating with under-age volunteers.

During the webinar we will discuss:

  1. how to ensure that your organisation is child safe,
  2. why you should have a child safeguarding policy in place,
  3. how to introduce a tailor-made policy for your organisation.


We will also answer questions related to the topic of the webinar.

The speaker will be Katarzyna Katana – legal advisor (2017) at Empowering Children Foundation. Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University (2013), participant of a student exchange at the University of Malta (2013), graduate of the OKSPO School of Ukrainian Law of the Jagiellonian University (2018) and national and international trainings, including UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) & International Women’s Human Rights Advocacy (2020) and ODHiR Advocacy School on Gender and Politics (2021), Women’s Human Rights Training Institute training programme (2020-2022), TedX conference speaker.

The webinar will be hosted by Bogna Mrozowska – member of the communication team of the Active Citizens – Regional Programme. She works at the Information Society Development Foundation. 

The webinar will be delivered on the Zoom platform and will be interpreted into the Polish Sign Language. Recording with captions will be available on the Programme website (in the Library section) and on the Programme’s YouTube channel.
