The aim of the project is to increase access to information about the municipality and county councilors, to increase the knowledge of the Youth Municipal Council’ members on the principles of local government, the third sector, and watchdog activities, as well as to implement an information campaign aimed at encouraging the replacement of heating devices and making the residents aware of health effects of breathing in polluted air. The project addresses the challenges that have been diagnosed in the Niepołomice Municipality: poor access to information on the activities of municipality and county councilors, lack of support for the Youth Municipal Council’s members, and poor air quality. As part of the project we will run local portals: Niepolomice.MamPrawoWiedziec.pl dedicated to the activities of the Municipal Council in Niepołomice, and the PowiatWielicki.MamPrawoWiedziec.pl dedicated to the activities of the County Council in Wieliczka. We will carry out a cycle of training courses for the Youth Municipal Council’s members, a study visit of the Youth Municipal Council’s members to Lublin and Lubartów, a competition for an anti-smog poster. We will implement an information campaign aimed at encouraging the phasing out of high emission boilers, warning against the harmfulness of smog. We will host two conferences: ‘Watchdog activities in the Niepołomice Municipality’ and ‘You have the right to know – local elections in Niepołomice’. The beneficiaries of the project are residents of the Niepołomice Municipality, in particular members of the Youth Municipality Council. The project is implemented in partnership with Stowarzyszenie 61.
