Handbook: accessibility and equal treatment – how to make it happen?

This handbook was created for all those who want to make their activities as inclusive and accessible as possible. We recommend you to use the handbook.

The first part provides guidance on equality language, respecting the needs and demands of different groups, following the golden rule: we talk about a group as they would like to be talked about.

The second section looks at accessibility and equality from the perspective of the organisation of events. The individual tips in this section can also be useful for, among other things, preparing and publishing various materials online or running social media.

At the end of each section, we have included a list of useful links where you can find more information on the topic.

The authors of the handbook are: Lena Rogowska-Lewandowska (equality trainer, social artist, vice-president of the Culture of Dialogue Foundation) and Izabela Sopalska-Rybak (trainer, social activist, expert on the needs of people with disabilities, president of the Kulawa Warszawa /Lame Warsaw Foundation).
