DEI in NGOs – why is it worth doing it and where to start

On January 31, 2024, we held a webinar dedicated to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in a non-government organisation. The recording is now available to watch.

It was the 1st webinar in a series entitled ‘Diverse community, diverse team, inclusive organisation’.

The presentation was given by Martyna Markiewicz – trainer, joker of Theatre of the Oppressed, member of the Board of Ashoka in Poland, where she is responsible for partnerships and also deals with DEI issues at the European level of Ashoka. For almost 20 years she has been active in the non-governmental sector. She professionally supports networks, organisations, groups and individuals who seek social change. She focuses mainly on the areas of gender equality and diversity, inclusion and social justice (DEI). She created and leads Ashoka’s first open, international educational process on the relationship between DEI and social change: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Learning Journey.

The webinar was hosted by Bogna Mrozowska – member of the communication team of the Active Citizens Fund – Regional Programme, working for the Information Society Development Foundation.
