This project responds to the problem of low social activity of older people and young people in the Dzierzążnia Municipality, especially in the area of environmental protection. During the 20 months of our activities, we are increasing the awareness and environmental activation of the local population. Our goal is to shape local policies on environmental protection by engaging the local community (especially young and older people) in activities to care for the environment in the municipality. As part of the existing Volunteer Club, environmental workshops and lectures are held, with about 280 participants. We organise hiking rallies combined with cleaning up local forests. We are creating a community educational garden with a gazebo and ecological installations. The garden will serve as a space for ecological education and integration of the residents. The area for the construction of the garden was provided by the project partner, the John Paul II Primary School in Dzierzążnia. Our partner is also the Płońsk Forest Inspectorate, which is responsible, among other things, for holding lectures on littering in the surrounding forests. The project will contribute to raising environmental awareness and the responsibility of residents for climate change. We will encourage people to take specific pro-environmental actions and make them aware of the impact of their everyday choices on the life of the community and the state of the planet.
